Why you should make your dining reservation for brunch

The old strategy – book a reservation at a restaurant in the park before it opens. The new strategy – wait until 10am or 11am to eat. Here’s why.

The least crowded park time is at “rope drop,” when the park opens. A surge of people race for the top-tier rides like Seven Dwarves Mine Train or Slinky Dog Dash and rise without a Fastpass. As 10:30am approaches, more and more people have entered the park and riding “standby” on those rides will require an hour-long wait.
I advise that you get your must-do rides and attractions out-of-the way before you stop and eat. Breakfast will “eat up” (pun intended) your prime touring time. Save the food for when you’re no longer riding standby and when your’re going from one Fastpass to the next. Skip breakfast, book a brunch.
